World record

After watching many of the Animatrix short films, I liked a lot the one called "world record" about a very famous runner who wanted to stablish a new world running record. This short film is related with the Matrix movie, in many aspects but the most important is that in the movie there are few people able to wake up from the dream, to get turned off from the matrix and those are te ones who want a revenge against the machines, so the purpose of the agents is to get rid off the people who wake up. In the short film the runner is one of that guys, all the people tell him "you wont break your record stop trying", but he realizes that all that people are wrong, and that he is able to break his own record and to wake up from the dream. So this is a parallel story of the movie, this is the story about one of the lucky guys able to watch objective reality, this is an alternative way to tell how the people could wake up, this is how this story is related to the movie.

How Pixar rolls

Definitely the article is very interesting because you can notice how pixar works, what are the most important facts to consider during a movie production, and how they have succed in the animation industry.
As told in class the most important point in a movie is the story, when a movie has a good story is more probable its success, and this is how pixar rolls, first of all they are great story creators because their movies always have different themes and interesting ways of telling them.
Pixar has acquired such a great importance all over the world that is considered as the second corporation (the first is Disney) that gives the audience new stories and non-forgettable characters.
What I liked a lot about the articles was the message "even it if looks impossible, don't give up and try until you reach your goal" . In every movie Pixar has had new challenges and they don't give up, in fact they try the neccesary times until they get what they want and this is part of their success, so definitely I found the article a very interesting one.

Woody Allen

Nowadays there are such unforgetable people in world that had made awesome things and achieved many goals that won't die ever in our minds. One of that persons is the famous Woody Allen, he's considered as one of the 10 marvelous cinema directors for his many great movies, in which the most of the times he has been the director and one of the movie characters. But Woody Allen didn't begin directing and writting movies, not all in his life has been succesful.

Allen began to work when he was 15 writting jokes for a newspaper where he earned $200 per week. After writting jokes he decided to tell his own jokes in a live show despite the fear he felt when he was telling his jokes to the audience. After working as a comedy actor he had the opportunity and was hired to write the story of "What's new pussycat?"

Allen has written and directed many movies, and we could talk for a long time if we would like to talk about each of his movie, but what is special about Allen is that he is one of the most creative directors and when the people look at his work is very easy to identify it because he has create his own style.

Another fact that makes Allen one of the best cinema directors is that he has been able to move throughout drama and comedy, also he easily he can cross the line between reality and fantasy. Despite some of mis movies didn't succes as much as the he would have wanted and dissapointed some people, he never gave up and continued writting more stories until he could have the audience applause.

Even for Allen the audience recognition and the fame hadn't been the whole thing he has won a lot of prizes for his work, has been a succesful man, and has expressed his way of thinking but the fact I really admire about Allen, is the way he fights for what he wants and his big effort to gave cinema great stories and great moments. Woody Allen will live forever for sure.

Long life to Romeo

I know some of you consider Romeo as the most classic character in the story, but there are good reasons this guy is my fav character in the story.

First reason, I think you may be a real man and have the bravery Romeo had to do what he did. Im okay if you think he's a flirt or whatever, I know he forgot easily his first "real love" but I think it was better to do that than living all of his life blaming himself and crying for something that he could never reach at. Now imagine, today some fathers don't allow her daughters to have boyfriend until they are 18, and threaten the boyfriends but if Juliet's dad had noticed about what the couple was doing, Romeo would have died since the second act.

So that's one of the reasons Romeo is the one I selected, he's the man, he's brave, and he could kiss Juliet in less than one minute¡¡¡ he really knew how to drive wild a woman.

Jack Black

Comedian, actor and musician are the main occupations of Jack Black, one of my favorite actors. Besides that, he also works as film producer, and has participated in many movies. Being the most of his work comedy movies Black has also participated in movies like King Kong (P. Jackson version), and has been the voice of animated characters like Panda, in Kung fu Panda, Zeke in "Ice Age", and many others.

Jack Black was born in California where he studied and met his friend Kyle Gass who gave him the opportunity to work in the film industry and also taught him to play guitar. Together they formed a satirical rock band called "Tenacious D". By the way they produced a movie telling their life story called "Tenacious D in the pick of destiny"; if you watch it you will have a lot of fun.

Some of the movies he has been in are "Tropic Thunder", Be kind rewind, Tenacious D, Kung Fu Panda, Shark Tale, The School of rock, King Kong, Enemy of the state, The cable guy, and many other that are really good movies. Also he produced a movie called "Nacho Libre" in which he is the protagonist and Ana de la Reguera is his platonic love.

Jack Black is one of my favorite actors, because I like a lot to watch comedy movies, I like to laugh and he really knows how to make me laugh. He also is a musician, and I love how he plays guitar. Despite his lyrics aren't good at all, his music is awesome, he plays rock old school style and thats what I love.

If you haven't watch any of the movies I mentioned, give yourself a chance to watch them, you will laugh, and get in the story.
