World record

After watching many of the Animatrix short films, I liked a lot the one called "world record" about a very famous runner who wanted to stablish a new world running record. This short film is related with the Matrix movie, in many aspects but the most important is that in the movie there are few people able to wake up from the dream, to get turned off from the matrix and those are te ones who want a revenge against the machines, so the purpose of the agents is to get rid off the people who wake up. In the short film the runner is one of that guys, all the people tell him "you wont break your record stop trying", but he realizes that all that people are wrong, and that he is able to break his own record and to wake up from the dream. So this is a parallel story of the movie, this is the story about one of the lucky guys able to watch objective reality, this is an alternative way to tell how the people could wake up, this is how this story is related to the movie.
